A Popular Disney World Ride FAILED to Open This Morning ?

There’s no worse feeling in the WORLD than being super excited to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind or TRON Lightcyle/Run and then realizing both the Lightning Lane and Virtual Queue is full.

Each day, you’ll have a chance at 7AM to join a Virtual Queue for free OR to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane. You can also try again at 1PM for the virtual queue, but the Lightning Lanes usually aren’t refilled. Well, when we were attempting to snag one of those options for TRON on April 9th, things didn’t go as planned. They were all sold out!

Later on, when we got to the park, things started to make more sense. TRON simply never opened at all.

Cast Members stood at the ride area entrance and told us that they weren’t sure when the attraction would open back up.

However, they did say that they were testing a train all the way through the ride, so hopefully that’s a good sign!

Unfortunately, this happens from time to time. There have been days where some of our favorite rides are closed for almost the entire day. When this happens, you can often expect an uptick in crowds in other areas of the park, since there is one less attraction for people to visit. Just make sure to be patient and be prepared!
