6 Things You Can ONLY Do at Disney's Pop Century Resort

Many Disney World guests opt to stay in Disney World value resorts, not just because they are the cheapest hotels in Disney World, but also because of the over-the-top theming.

A fan-favorite Disney World value hotel is Disney’s Pop Century Resort, which brings guests into some of the most iconic pop culture moments in history. This resort is SO unique, too, that there are some things you can ONLY do there.

Eat Tie-Dye Cheesecake

There is a dessert at Pop Century that you can ONLY find at Pop Century. That is the Tie-Dye Cheesecake, which is a groovy and colorful cheesecake snack you can grab from Everything POP, the hotel’s merchandise store and food court (yep, it’s both).

The Tie Dye Cheesecake is a fan favorite of guests who have stayed here, so it’s a must if you’ll be visiting Pop Century soon. If you’re missing it, though, you can always make it at home.

Play Twister

When was the last time you played Twister? Well, you can play this classic game that will tie your body into literal knots with friends and family at Pop Century. There’s a permanent Twister board painted on one of the sidewalks.

Just be careful when you play — falling on that cement hurts.

Take a dip in Disney World’s grooviest pool

There are hotel pools, and then there’s Pop Century’s Hippy Dippy Pool, which is — quite literally — the grooviest pool you’ll find in all of Disney World. This 1960’s-themed pool is shaped like a flower and even has squirting petals around it. How’s that for far out?

If you get bored of swimming in a big flower, you can also swim in a pool shaped like a bowling pin or a pool shaped like a computer, complete with floppy disc and keypad.

Learn trivia about pop culture

If you’re staying at Pop Century, you’ll want to take some time to just wander around the resort. You’ll find signs all along the walking paths that will teach you some little facts about pop culture and even some important historical moments throughout the most recent centuries.

Stay at the cheapest Skyliner resort

If you’ve been wanting to stay at a Skyliner resort (and let’s face it — the Skyliner is a fun and convenient mode of transportation at Disney World), you’ll find that of all the Skyliner resorts, you’ll get cheaper pricing for rooms at Pop Century.

Pop Century shares a Skyliner station with Disney’s other Skyliner value resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, but Pop Century’s prices tend to be a little lower.

As you can see, Disney’s Pop Century Resort offers a lot of unique opportunities you can’t find anywhere else in Disney World, so you might want to consider a stay there if you’re looking for a value resort with a little something more.
