You Can Literally Watch the NEW Barbie(!!) Theme Park Be Built via This Construction Cam

If there’s one word on everyone’s lips these days, it seems to be Barbenheimer — capturing the phenomenon of the simultaneous summer release of two major films — Barbie and Oppenheimer.

Whether you’ve gone to see one or both, or have just been enjoying the memes and trailers from afar (and checking out some of the RIDICULOUS Barbie-themed accommodations), the odds are pretty high that you’ve at least heard something about the craze. But did you know that a Barbie theme park is on its way too?!

Technically this is not a theme park solely dedicated to Barbie, but the iconic doll will be featured as a part of the brand NEW Mattel Adventure Park.

According to USA Today, the new theme park is coming to the VAI Resort complex in Arizona (9601 West Cardinals Way, Glendale, AZ 85305). There’s no set opening date, but some sites have reported that the park is “supposed to” open in 2024.

The theme park’s website says that it will be “the only place where you can get behind the wheel of a lightning-fast Hot Wheels go kart, join Thomas & Friends on a treasure hunt journey and enjoy a signature pink beverage on the third story rooftop of The Barbie Beach House.” Okay, we’ll DEFINITELY accept a rooftop moment at the Barbie Beach House!

The park is designed for all ages. Some rides will appeal to “the tiniest of tots,” but there will be a few thrills too including a “double-looping launch coaster designed for speed.” And you’ll even get to visit a “flying theater adventure that shoots for the stars”

They’ve even taken the Arizona weather into account by having an indoor/outdoor design. There will be “acres of air-conditioned space” to check out, as well as themed party zones.

But perhaps the coolest part of this entire thing is that on the Mattel Adventure Park website, you can actually WATCH the park being built!

There is a project camera on the website that lets you look at a LIVE view of the construction.

We even saw a truck moving along the path as construction got underway for the day!

Plus, there are time-lapses available, photo albums, and more.

Could you imagine if Disney just put up a camera and let us live-stream the construction of brand-new attractions, hotels, and more? How epic would that be?! Sure, we sometimes get time lapses or videos showing some construction, but not a true live cam like this!
