Disney’s newest cruise ship, the Disney Wish, has a ton of exciting things aboard.

There will be a Star Wars bar, an Incredibles-themed obstacle course, two brand new shows, a Frozen dining experience, and more. The ship was set to take its maiden voyage in June this year, but there has now been a delay.
Disney has shared that the maiden voyage for the Disney Wish has been delayed by a month. They say that the ship needs more time to be completed due, in part, to the pandemic and the arrival of the Omicron variant in Germany (where the ship is being built).

This will affect sailings through mid-July, with the new maiden voyage now beginning on July 14th, 2022. People who are impacted by these changes can book a new date for their trip and get a 50% discount.

Guests who were booked on the original maiden voyage will automatically be booked for the new sail date of July 14th at a 50% discount. If that date doesn’t work for them, they have the option of either a 50% discount on a future cruise (departing by 12/31/23), with any originally paid funds converted into a Future Cruise Credit, or they can get a full refund for their trip.

Guests who were booked on the affected sailings through mid-July will have these same rebooking and refund options. Do note that the new Disney Vacation Club voyage is now set to depart on July 19th.

Due to this delay, sales have also been paused right now for the Disney Wish, and will resume on February 8th.
