When people think about choosing a Disney World hotel that’s close to the parks, most minds go straight to the Magic Kingdom resorts, often referred to as the Monorail resorts.

But there is another Disney World theme park you can be literally STEPS away from while staying in top-tier accommodations! We’re talking about EPCOT!
What are the EPCOT Resorts?
There are three main EPCOT Resorts: Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. All three of these resorts are located along Crescent Lake and are quite literally steps from EPCOT.

Some people will also include the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels onto the list of EPCOT Resorts. Those are also within walking distance of EPCOT (as well as Disney’s Hollywood Studios), but for now, we’ll just focus on the three main resorts. Keep these hotels in mind though, since they’re also in the vicinity of EPCOT!
Why should you consider staying at an EPCOT Resort?
If you’re a big EPCOT fan, there are likely no better accommodation options out there for you than the three EPCOT Resorts. These resorts are minutes away from the International Gateway, which spits you out right into the heart of World Showcase (in between the France and United Kingdom Pavilions!).

In fact, the EPCOT resorts are closer to this park entrance than the Polynesian and Grand Floridian are to Magic Kingdom! The other great advantage to the International Gateway entrance is that you can avoid all of the crowding (and construction!) happening at the front entrance to EPCOT.

All three of the EPCOT resorts are Deluxe Resorts, meaning you get the best of the best in terms of what Disney has to offer with amenities. Keep in mind, however, that Deluxe accommodations means you’re paying Deluxe prices.

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn has a nightlife of its own, meaning that if you want to keep the evening going once you’re done with EPCOT (or any theme park for that matter), everything is within walking distance!
OTHER benefits!
The perks don’t stop there! The EPCOT resorts all have convenient access to the EPCOT Skyliner station, making it even easier to travel to Hollywood Studios, as well as a few other resorts along the Skyliner route.

Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club share Stormalong Bay, arguably the neatest pool on Disney World property! Disney’s BoardWalk Inn also has a fun pool area with a newly re-designed water slide.

Ultimately, there’s a lot that goes into deciding which Disney World Resort hotel you want to stay in on your next vacation. In addition to budget, you’ll want to take a close look at exactly where on Disney property the hotel is located, and see if it’s close by to your favorite park!
