While Magic Kingdom officially welcomed back guests on July 11th, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover has been unavailable since the reopening.

Despite the fact that it was listed as one of the attractions that would be reopening with the park, the PeopleMover has yet to resume operation. And now, it appears that the PeopleMover will remain closed for at least a few more months.
While Disney hasn’t released much information regarding the closure of the attraction, they did update the park calendar to indicate that the PeopleMover likely won’t be reopening anytime soon. As of this morning, the park calendar lists the PeopleMover as “closed for refurbishment” from now through October 31st.

Currently, the PeopleMover is no longer listed as closed beginning on November 1st, but this date is subject to change.

We will continue to keep an eye out for any maintenance work being performed on the attraction in our future visits to Magic Kingdom, as well as any additional information from Disney, so stay tuned for more updates!
