I'm Just Mad I Didn't Try This Packing Cube Hack Sooner

We figured out a way to take an already great packing hack to the next level!

When we’re heading on a longer trip, one of our go-to moves for maximizing the space in our luggage is to use compression packing cubes. But we can’t believe it’s taken us this long to stack another game-changing hack on top of our packing cube tip!

Packing cubes can be a huge help for keeping your clothes organized and making the most out of your luggage space. But if you struggle with actually finding the clothes you’re looking for without unpacking EVERYTHING from each cube, we have the perfect solution. We were loading up our packing cubes for a cruise recently, and since they had a transparent front, we slipped a Post-it Note inside each one right on top, listing out which clothes were inside!

Our New Favorite Packing Hack!

In the past, we’ve tried similar hacks, including writing general notes like “jeans” or “tops” on our cubes in permanent marker or sticking notes on the outside of each cube. But slipping the notes inside a clear cube gave us the flexibility to switch up what we use each one for in the future AND kept the notes from getting mixed up or coming unstuck in the shuffle! It’s helpful to have a few different sizes to work with so you have some flexibility when packing, depending on how long your trip is.
