I realize how cliched it is for a Disney Adult to be annoyed at something going on in the parks. After all, it’s been going on for decades.

However, in this case, I can’t help myself!
The target of my ire might sound bizarre, but hear me out: The Main Street Confectionery is one of the premier shops in the Magic Kingdom. The old-fashioned candy shop sits right on the corner of Town Square, and offers a litany of sweets and treats for guests including Glacier Bars, frozen fruit drinks, specialty popcorn mixes from the Kernel Kitchen where you can mix popcorn flavors along with chocolate drizzle and 2 or 3 candy mix-ins, and of course more candy than you can shake a pair of Mickey ears at. Which brings me to my issue!

Spring has sprung in 2026 as we’re several months into the year, and yet I’m STILL SEEING Holiday M&M’s in the Confectionery to this day!

Come on, Disney, I don’t care how many bins you have of these backstage. You shouldn’t have this holiday candy out in your store anywhere on the planet in the middle of March, let alone on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom, the world’s most heavily trafficked theme park!

Isn’t it enough that the various Holiday seasons stretch out so early now — Halloween BEFORE Labor Day, Christmas decorations in October — do they have to be scratched this far past their end-dates too?!?

Being in Disney World every day, I notice a lot of things. Many of them are magical, but some of them… well, they can grind my gears at times! Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney World observations.
REVIEW: People Keep Spending $73 to Eat at This Magic Kingdom Restaurant; But Should They?
What beef do you have with Disney World? Let us know in the comments below.

I was annoyed when they did away with the fudge when Mars company took over Confectionery.
My biggest beef is the removal of iconic Disney World attractions and amenities. Most recently, that’s the destruction of Rivers of America to make way for an improperly placed CarsLand called Piston Peak. Frontierland is horses and steamboats, not loud, gas-guzzling cars. Horizons is a big loss at Epcot, along with the original Imagination ride with Dreamfinder and Figment. The Great Movie Ride at Disney Studios is a huge deficit. And the new lobby at the Polynesian Resort is a far cry from the tropical waterfall paradise that it had been. Shame, also, on replacing Luau Cove and its wonderful Polynesian-inspired dinner show for a high-rise hotel with the vibes of a Honolulu Marriott.
