It’s Official: Our Favorite Ride Overlay Is Finally Back in Magic Kingdom!

The time has finally come to laugh at some of our favorite jokes of the holiday season on one of our favorite attractions, and we couldn’t be more stoked!

The Jingle Cruise is BACK!

Over in Magic Kingdom, Jungle Cruise is one of the most popular attractions, selling out of Lightning Lane Multi Pass reservations quickly almost every day in the parks, and it’s about to get even LONGER lines. Starting today, Jungle Cruise turns into its annual holiday overlay — Jingle Cruise!

While today, November 3rd, may be a little too soon for some people to celebrate the holiday season, it’s not for us!  But what IS Jingle Cruise, you ask? It’s essentially the same as Jungle Cruise, but it has a holiday theme to it. You’ll find holiday decorations all over the attraction and its queue, the boats have been renamed to holiday-esque ones, and the best part? The jokes change too!

We love all the decorations in the queue!

Any ride on the Jungle Cruise is made unforgettable if you’ve got an incredible Skipper leading you on your expedition, and we’ve had some truly amazing ones in the past! The jokes on Jingle Cruise just take on a Christmas/holiday feel to them, so you’ll likely hear lots of puns and jokes about holly, Christmas presents, and Santa, but we love them every time. In fact, even though we experience this every year, we feel we hear a new joke almost every time!

Even the boat names change!

Throughout the queue of the attraction, you’ll see loads of holiday decoration additions, like signs asking Santa to stop by, tinsel everywhere, and those classic holiday colors. All the Skipper boats have also changed names to match the holiday season, and along your holiday cruise, you’ll notice other decorations and holiday changes throughout the ride.

Watch for all the additions on the ride!

Crowds on this first day of operation were pretty high for this attraction, which was to be expected! Right around 1 PM, it was at a 110-minute wait, and considering most people rope drop this attraction, that’s VERY high!

By 4 PM, the wait time was down to 75 minutes, but that’s still higher than what we’ve seen at this attraction in a while. We anticipate these crowds will continue to be pretty high over the course of the holiday season, so if you’re planning on riding this attraction, pack your patience!

If you’re looking forward to experiencing this attraction, we recommend rope dropping it or waiting until later in the evening if you don’t mind riding in the dark (it’s not scary, we promise!). If you’re looking to grab it as a Lightning Lane, we recommend booking it as early as you possibly can (seven days for hotel guests, three days for all others). We recommend making this one of your first three Lightning Lane choices, since time slots fill up quickly. If you decide to wait and it fills up, we recommend constantly refreshing the app as availability is constantly changing.
