Magic Kingdom Is About to Look TOTALLY Different

Something big is about to happen in Magic Kingdom. No, we’re not talking about the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin updates. We’re not even talking about the big Cars expansion or the upcoming Villains land.

We’re talking about something a little spookier…as in Halloween. And Halloween season in Disney World brings something SPECIAL to Magic Kingdom.

That something special is all the Halloween decor that comes to Magic Kingdom. Well, we think we’re going to see that decor going up VERY SOON. We are, after all, only about a week away from the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

In fact, we’re actually a little late with the Halloween decor this year. Last year, the first Halloween pumpkins showed up Main Street, U.S.A. on August 5th — and we were so surprised when they went up because it was during Hurricane Debby.

So we expect to see the pumpkins, which are usually the first pieces of Halloween decor in Magic Kingdom, go up any day now. This will transform the entire look of Magic Kingdom for Halloween.

Usually, a few days later, the famous Mickey pumpkin wreaths go up in the park — these are probably the most popular of Magic Kingdom’s Halloween decor. Last year, the Mickey pumpkin wreaths went up on August 8th.

Our best guess is that the first of the Halloween decor will go up over the next few days in Magic Kingdom, ahead of the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on August 15th. So we’re waiting for Magic Kingdom to get its annual spooky makeover
