It’s officially August and you know what that means…it’s basically Halloween! At least it is according to Disney World.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks off on August 9th in Magic Kingdom with special eats, entertainment, experiences, and more. But before the party can begin, Disney has to decorate the parks, of course! Let’s take a look at this year’s Halloween decorations, shall we?
The reason we’re shocked by the decorations going up on August 5th? Hurricane Debby has made landfall in Florida and the parks are under different watches and warnings. There was a huge rainstorm this morning as we tried to make our way to the park.
A tornado warning is in effect in Orange County this morning until 9:15 AM. Rotation was seen on radar over Bay Lake. Recommended action per the weather alert is to take shelter in place in an interior room away from windows. pic.twitter.com/SmabMSoX8w

Despite that, Disney managed to transform Magic Kingdom overnight! When we walked up to the park entrance, we noticed the iconic pumpkins right up front. Disney, you are brave for putting these up with the high winds and rain!
When you enter the park, you are greeted by these smiling jack-o-lanterns. How cute are they?
Don’t worry, the iconic pumpkin scarecrows are back! These are themed to different Cast Members that you’ll see around the park. Here are the ones inspired by the Confectionery right on Main Street!
We’ve seen these in past years, but it’s great to have them back in 2024. They make for several fun photo ops right in the front of the park!
Then there’s the most iconic spot during Halloween time — the pumpkins are back around the statue of Roy Disney and Minnie Mouse! This spot usually gets a line because of Cinderella Castle in the background. It really has it all!
Everyone can enjoy the Halloween decor during the day, but if you want to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, tickets are still available! Dates are starting to sell out but there are plenty of options left. We’ll be at the first event on August 9th so stay tuned to AllEars for coverage of that!

Sorry but August is waaaay to early for Halloween decorations in the parks. My husband & I have been visiting mid September since 2004 & Halloween arrives earlier every year. We’d like to see Magic Kingdom as just Magic Kingdom again.
