REVIEW: Disney World Hotels Are HIDING The Best Halloween Treats

Halloween time has officially begun in Disney World!

Halloween is here!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has begun in Magic Kingdom, and Oogie Boogie Bash is in full swing in Disney California Adventure, but there’s spooky fun to be found outside the parks as well! We headed to two different Disney World hotels to grab their Halloween treats, and all we have to say is that we’ll be thinking about one of them for WEEKS to come.

First up was the Dulce de Leche Brownie for $5.49 at Gasparilla Island Grill. This is a chocolate brownie, dulce de leche ganache, and ginger pepita crumble, and WOW, were we shocked!

Dulce de Leche Brownie

Not only is this thing adorable, but it’s a great treat for those celebrating fall and not just Halloween! The base is more of a sponge-y brownie, like cake, rather than fudgier and heavier, which we think works well here. The ginger pepita crumble flavor gets lost in the dulce de leche, but we did enjoy the extra crunch it provided. Overall, we highly recommend and would absolutely get this one again!

Delicious!

Then we headed over to Trail’s End at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort for TWO different treats! First was the Headless Horseman Pop for $5.49, which is Chocolate chip cookie dough and brownie dipped in white chocolate with a chocolate piece.

Again, this one is super cute, but we loved the mix of chocolate cookie dough and chocolate cake on the inside! The textures went so well together. Our reporter isn’t even the biggest cake pop person, and they loved it!

Incredible! We’re big fans!

The other option is the Pumpkin Sugar Cookie for $3.99, which is a Halloween sugar cookie coated in dark and white chocolate.

Unfortunately, not all treats can be winners. This looks like something you could make at home, or maybe even that your kids would make, because it’s not super “wow.” It was just like a cookie you get at the grocery store — very crumbly and dry, so we’d say skip this one. There are MUCH better treats out there, and you can put the $3.99 you would have spent on this towards one of them!

We’d say skip it

Finally, we headed to Intermission Food Court at All Star Music Resort to grab the Apple Cinnamon Cupcake for $5.99.

Apple Cinnamon Cupcake

We’re really torn on this because we loved the frosting here. We could really taste the cinnamon, and it cut through the sweetness really well, but the cupcake itself was SO dense. It’s so moist it stuck to our fingers, the roof of our mouths, everything.  While we love the chunks of apples in it, it makes it almost taste underbaked. We think the flavor profile would have done better as a tart rather than a cupcake, as the cupcake was too moist to really enjoy — it just fell apart.

This one is complicated
