If you’re heading to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year, there is SO much to experience. I know from firsthand experience that it can seem a little overwhelming, but that’s why we’re here to help!

There are tons of snacks to try, lots of exclusive merchandise you don’t want to miss, and you can’t skip riding some of your favorite attractions with little to no wait! However, if you were looking forward to experiencing one ride during the event this year, we’ve got some bad news.
The majority of Magic Kingdom rides are open during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but this year, this one won’t be available, because it’s closing for refurbishment just over a week before the party begins.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin closes in Magic Kingdom on August 4th to make way for the new edition of the ride, which will include:
- New ride vehicles with Space Command colors and screens that show scores and more in real time
- New targets that react when hit
- Handheld blasters with new lighting and sound effects
- A new scene at the beginning with a new character who teaches you how to play

This potentially means that other rides around the park may be seeing some higher wait times, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
What rides will be open? Lots of favorites! Some even have special Halloween overlays like Mad Tea Party…

…Space Mountain…

…and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor.

We’ll be in the park on the first night of the party to bring you all the latest and greatest news from the night.
