BREAKING: Showtimes CONFIRMED for the NEW Magic Kingdom Nighttime Parade, Disney Starlight

*Happily Ever After fans: close your ears!* Guess what? The best new thing in the world of Disney nighttime entertainment is finally HERE. Yes, it’s true; Magic Kingdom will soon have a NEW nighttime parade!

We LOVE the parks at night!

The news was first announced way back in 2024, but we’ve been mostly kept in the dark (get it? since it’s nighttime? sorry…) when it comes to the details. But that’s all changing! We have an opening date. We have a preview of the floats AND the snacks AND the souvenirs to go along with it. And now, we know the showtimes for this NEW nighttime parade!

Magic Kingdom just confirmed the showtimes for its newest parade, Disney Starlight. When Disney Starlight debuts on July 20th, the new nighttime parade will be available TWICE nightly at 9 and 11 PM. The parade will start on Main Street, U.S.A., and travel along the parade route towards Frontierland “to allow for better guest flow at the end of the night.” This is a change from the daytime parade route that Festival of Fantasy takes in the opposite direction.

This will be the next iteration of nighttime entertainment in Magic Kingdom, following beloved parades like  SpectroMagic and the Main Street Electrical Parade. Based on the concept art, this new parade will be filled with bright, colorful floats and iconic Disney characters.

The parade will be brought to life by the magic of the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio. Look out for other characters from popular Disney animated films like Peter Pan, Coco, and Frozen.

The first parade will be on July 20th. If you’re an Annual Passholder hoping to catch the show, note that starting July 20th, Passholders visiting Magic Kingdom park at any time of day (including after 2 PM) must have a theme park reservation. Passholders will be able to enter EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park after 2 PM without a theme park reservation, and you can still park hop to Magic Kingdom if your theme park reservation is scheduled for a different park.

If you’re traveling with a little one, you might want to know what types of characters to expect. Below is a list of characters that Disney has confirmed will be part of the parade:

  • The Blue Fairy
  • Peter Pan & Wendy
  • Asha
  • La Familia Madrigal (Mirabel, Isabela, Bruno)
  • Elsa
  • Aurora and Prince Phillip, Tiana and Prince Naveen, Belle and the Beast, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, Aladdin and Jasmine, and Snow White and Dopey
  • Miguel and Pepita
  • Moana
  • Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Mickey Mouse, and Minnie Mouse
Mickey, Minnie and Goofy will sport fancy new outfits in Disney Starlight.

We expect the parade to attract some BIG crowds, so be prepared to stake out a spot along the parade route! Hot tip: if you get a spot on Main Street, U.S.A., you can stop by the Main Street Confectionery for the new Starlight Popcorn mix with candied popcorn, mini marshmallows, M&Ms, sprinkles, and white chocolate drizzle. Eat it while you wait for the show to begin!
