NEWS: We Just Got Another NEW LOOK At Test Track’s Transformation in EPCOT

EPCOT is a busy girl!

EPCOT

The Food and Wine festival is getting ready to return, Goofy has taken over Communicore Hall, and Test Track is under construction. While festivals and parties are fun, what we’re really ready for is to get back into the drivers seat. Luckily for us, we are finally getting a glimpse at some updates coming to Test Track!

Test Track is getting closer and closer to reopening! The high-speed EPCOT attraction has been closed since June 17th, 2024, and we have been eagerly awaiting updates since.

We’ve gotten a few sneak peeks at the lengthy construction project, and we’ve even seen the new vehicle design, but now Disney is giving us a clear look at the new signage coming to the attraction.

Over on the Walt Disney Imagineering Instagram, the Disney team shared that the new Test Track marquee is finally in place! They shared that the design of the sign “echoes” the ride’s architecture while including the new logo.

They also teased that the letters will light up so the sign looks bright both day and night! We did notice that this sign looks a bit different from what was previously teased in the concept art.

In the same photo, you can see the continued construction of the attraction in the background. This is the most clear look we’ve gotten at the attraction’s updates aside from the new vehicle design.

The attraction is expected to reopen in late Summer 2025, so that means we’re getting closer and closer! The new version of the ride will take inspiration from World of Motion, the closed attraction that was previously located where Test Track is.

The new sign does seem to be in a planter, which is reminiscent of the previous World of Motion sign. We can definitely see a bit of the inspiration that’s being pulled from the defunct attraction. The new version of Test Track is sponsored by General Motors, just like World of Motion was back in the day!

We even stopped by EPCOT today to get our own first glance at the new sign in person! This is our view of the construction and sign from the monorail.

We don’t know tons of details outside of the inspiration and the concept art that’s been shown. We are eagerly awaiting more details as the reopening draws nearer. As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news and updates.
