We love it when Disney gives us a behind-the-scenes look with some of their Disney Imagineers!
Over at EPCOT, Test Track has been closed for a long refurbishment and isn’t expected to reopen for quite some time. Disney hasn’t shared many details about this reimagining, but we did just get a sneak peek of some of the changes!
Test Track at EPCOT is currently being reimagined to introduce new storylines, vehicles, and a new look. The attraction closed in June 2024 and is set to open in late summer 2025.
We haven’t received much news about the attraction, but we do know that the new exterior will be similar to the original pavilion’s design: World of Motion!
In a social media post from Walt Disney Imagineering, Carleigh, a Project Engineer, took us along for a day of her life. The filming team was very careful not to show too many details of the attraction, which makes us wonder if it will be ready to ride this summer.
We can see Carleigh checking out something inside and outside the window; it looks like the queue sanctions. Could she be working inside the queue,, which will show six different exhibits celebrating advancements in vehicles and the people who made them?
There is no flooring, large elements installed, or finished items at all. During this video, Carleigh said she was helping with the final scene, but it doesn’t look like Disney is ready to show us that yet!
Even though Disney didn’t reveal too much, we’re still super excited for Test Track to reopen and for us to find out more information about it! Seeing a Disney Imagineer’s average day is also a cool insight into how the company operates.
