There are a lot of new things to look forward to at Disney World this year! There will be a Pirates of the Caribbean lounge, a Spaceship Earth lounge, a Villains show, a Little Mermaid show, a Zootopia show, and the reopening of Test Track.
But what about the Disney World hotels? What is happening at the hotels in 2025? Let’s take a look!
One of our favorite announcements for Disney World hotels in 2025 is the free water park admission perk. This perk debuted at the beginning of 2025, and we love that you can spend your check-in day at a water park for no additional cost. With this perk, Disney World hotel guests will get a complimentary ticket to the water park that can be used on their check-in day. No more wondering what you will do on your travel day, now you can relax waterside!
We are also excited that a number of Disney World hotels will be debuting remodeled rooms in 2025. Pop Century will be working on guest rooms from late March 2025 through mid-February 2026. Both Port Orleans Resorts will also be getting guest room refurbishments. Port Orleans — French Quarter will complete the refurbishments in Spring 2025, while Port Orleans — Riverside will be refurbished from April 2025 through January 2026.
Additionally, Disney will be working on remodeling rooms at Yacht Club from January 2025 through May 2025. Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is also undergoing room refurbishments through September 2025.
Not only are lots of Disney World hotels getting remodeled rooms, but quite a few pools are closed for refurbishment right now. While they are working on maintenance-related issues a lot of the time, we might also see a new look when the pools reopen. Stormalong Bay at the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts will be closed through June 2025.
The Fantasia Pool at All-Star Movies Resort will be closed through April 30th, 2025. Also, the Courtyard Pool, Spa, and Courtyard Pool Bar are all closed at Disney’s Grand Floridian through late February 2025.
Finally, we are also anticipating the opening of Disney Lakeshore Lodge. While it won’t be opening until 2027, construction has already begun, and we have been keeping a close eye on it. It looks like workers are still laying the foundation, but we can’t wait for the new Disney Vacation Club hotel to start taking shape!
