SOLD OUT: Disney World’s $400 Lightning Lane Premier Pass No Longer Available for 7 Days in December

Are you heading to Disney World in the next week to celebrate the holidays and the new year?

This time of year is one of the busiest at the Disney World theme parks! If you visit now, you’ll likely experience lots of crowds and higher wait times. However, it is possible to bypass those long waits by purchasing one (or multiple) of Disney’s Lightning Lane passes — Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Single Pass, or Lightning Lane Premier Pass. Unfortunately, the time to purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass for several days at Magic Kingdom and select other parks has passed as this premium skip-the-line pass has SOLD OUT for multiple days!

Disney recently introduced the Lightning Lane Premier Pass which grants you access to every Lightning Lane line in one of the parks one time each day that you purchase it. You can only purchase one park per day, but you can then ride every ride in that park that has a Lightning Lane without waiting in the standby line, even those rides that are Single Pass rides. It also grants you the flexibility of riding the rides whenever you want; there’s no need to reserve a time slot in advance as you do with Multi Pass and Single Pass.

You can purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass if you’re staying at one of the Disney World Resort hotels and select other hotels, and it can be purchased up to 7 days in advance of your trip for the length of your stay, up to 14 days. However, there are FIVE days coming up in December that Lightning Lane Premier Pass is SOLD OUT at Magic Kingdom and a couple of other parks.

The following dates and parks have sold out of Lightning Lane Premier Pass:

• December 21st — Magic Kingdom and EPCOT
• December 25th — Magic Kingdom
• December 27th — Magic Kingdom
• December 28th — Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios
• December 29th — Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom
• December 30th — Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, EPCOT
• December 31st — Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom

If you’re hoping to grab a Lightning Lane Premier Pass over any of these dates, you’ll have to grab it for Animal Kingdom, or at Disney’s Hollywood Studios or EPCOT on dates they aren’t sold out. Be aware that there is a very limited number of Premier Passes available for each day. Lightning Lane Premier Pass pricing may change each day, as it uses flex pricing based on how busy Disney predicts the parks to be those days. To see the pricing for each day, you can check your My Disney Experience app and see the cost for multiple weeks in advance.

If you plan to head to the parks over the next couple of weeks, be prepared for lots of people and higher wait times. You can also purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass up to 7 days in advance; these passes just require more advance planning after purchasing them.
