Disney re-designing Test Track at EPCOT!
The new Test Track ride will involve “today’s innovation while highlighting the past, present, and future.” This will be the third variation of this ride; it initially opened as World of Motion, then became Test Track later on. Now, Disney has shared a behind-the-scenes look at the reimagining happening on this ride!
On Instagram, Disney shared a look at show set designer Tessa does behind the scenes to create the reimagined Test Track.
As a show set designer, she works with architects and engineers to create the immersive environments within the ride. The different scenes you’ll see on the new ride have been designed and created by show set designers such as Tessa to tell the story of the ride.
This new Test Track will feature brand-new show scenes highlighting the latest technological advances. This new adventure will focus on “onboard technology, customization, and personalization,” while bringing it back to the simple joy of the outdoors and quality time with friends and family.
The new queue will have six different exhibits that celebrate both the vehicles and the people behind them. The new ride will take inspiration from the original World of Motion, while the exterior will take on a similar appearance of the classic ride.
The new ride will continue its partnership with Chevrolet as Test Track 2.0 had. Test Track closed on June 17th, 2024 and the new, reimagined Test Track 3.0 will open sometime in 2025.
