Buckle up y’all, I’ve got some stories to tell.

Would you believe me if I told you I’ve been to Disney World FOUR times in the past two months even though I live six and a half hours away? I’m not kidding, and yes, while it’s been a LOT of driving, I’ve also had the time of my life getting to go on my own adventures and hang out with the AllEars cast. While I’ve had some incredible luck with amazing experiences over the past two months, I also have to admit that I’ve had some…unexpected events that I was NOT prepared for, so in true “me” fashion, I’m about to tell you every single detail of them, no matter how embarrassing it may be for me!
A Free Cupcake!
I know many people hate PizzeRizzo in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but I personally love it and will defend it ’til my last breath, so that’s where I decided to have my lunch on a recent trip. While I was waiting for my food after Mobile Ordering, a Cast Member noticed my celebration button and decided to create a magical moment for me!

A few kind Cast Members recognized my celebration button and were so sweet about it. But this PizzeRizzo Cast Member decided my celebration needed a cupcake to go along with it. I was truly speechless, and I felt the magic with every bite!
TWO Magical Moments in One Day!
And on the SAME DAY — yes, the SAME one — I went to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party dressed as Mal from Descendants and had the BEST time. What REALLY made it special, though, was seeing how reactive the Cast Members were to my costume, especially one who decided to gift me with another magical moment.

As I visited a snack stand to buy water (something I normally don’t do since I typically keep my water bottle with me), a Cast Member asked me if I wanted a Mickey Bar because she loved my costume so much! Again, I was completely speechless — Cast Members truly do make the magic, whether it includes a magical moment or not!

Keep in mind that a BIG part of a magical moment is spontaneity; it’s a random act of kindness, so Disney will never guarantee free treats or surprises, even if you’re wearing a celebration button or fun costume. I just happened to get EXTRA lucky!
Hitting a Ride at the Right Time
There’s nothing quite like hitting a ride at exactly the right time. In this case, I was hanging out in Hollywood Studios and happened to see that Slinky Dog Dash was closed as I hopped in the short line for Alien Swirling Saucers (for Fry Bucket, of course, it’s her favorite). While waiting to board the ride, I realized Slinky Dog Dash had started running again, so when I got off the ride a few minutes later, I BOLTED (not really, no running in Disney World) right over there.

I ended up only waiting 25 minutes for one of the hottest rides in the park! When I got off, I checked the wait time, and it had gone up to 50 minutes! I felt super lucky that I happened to be nearby and could jump in line soon after reopening — otherwise, I very likely wouldn’t have gotten to ride Slinky Dog Dash during that trip!
When Single Rider Works Out REALLY Well
Not every ride in Disney World has a single rider line, but I adore every single one that does (except for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster; we have issues). I have been overjoyed at the fact that Rise of the Resistance has been testing out a single-rider line for the past few weeks. On my most recent trip, I was hanging out with the AllEars cast in Hollywood Studios, and we decided to hop in the single rider line, totally okay with the fact that we’d be split up.

But something wild happened — we WEREN’T split up! The regular queue was held up for some reason, so the Cast Members began filling the rest of the interrogation chamber spots with people from the single-rider line. And as it turned out, all four of us not only ended up in the same group but in the same ROW of the ride vehicle! While the ride would have been fun regardless, it was extra exciting to get to ride with friends when we all weren’t expecting that luxury.
I am Getting Revenge on Sage
Now we come to the part of the post where things didn’t EXACTLY go as planned, and I feel it’s only right to start with something that happened a mere hour after we all rode Rise of the Resistance together — Sage RATTED US OUT as spies to Darth Vader! I’m still not the greatest at meet-and-greets, so I was already nervous about meeting Vader. But don’t worry! I hid behind Quincy the whole time, so it was okay.

Luckily, everything was good in the end, and I even did another meet-and-greet later in the day, which went much smoother! So, thanks, Sage, for helping me get out of my comfort zone.
I Unfortunately Know What Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Tastes Like
We’ll keep this one short and sweet because, honestly, I shudder just recalling it. I rode Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, forgot to close my mouth on a drop, and got water IN MY MOUTH.

It was disgusting — 0/10 do not recommend. Seriously, for the sake of your tastebuds, close your mouth before you get to the end of each drop.
My Ride Evacuation Curse
I’ve mentioned it here before, but I truly do have some terrible (or great, depending on how you look at it) luck when it comes to being evacuated off of rides. On a recent trip, I was evacuated from Pirates of the Caribbean and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure within hours of each other!

And then, I sat down on Alien Swirling Saucers, ready to rock and roll (or swing so hard I think I’m going to be thrown out of the vehicle…that’s more accurate), when an announcement came on telling us that we all needed to evacuate and board the other side of the attraction. Not a huge deal at all, but still, I counted it as an evacuation!
I LOST MY SHOE
No, this is not a joke, and I SO wish it was, but I somehow lost my shoe in Disney World. Let me set the scene (I am about to fully embarrass myself here): there I was, changing into my Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party outfit, which included changing my shoes. I took off my park sneakers and slipped on my other shoes, made sure the outfit was all put together, and headed to Magic Kingdom.

Everything went smoothly; amazing! So, imagine my GENUINE SHOCK when I go to grab my sneakers from my car the next morning, and…there’s only one sneaker. ONE. DANG. SNEAKER. Where did the other one go?! It must have fallen out somewhere along my journey, and I didn’t notice, which is embarrassing in ITSELF because, really, how clueless could I be? And now I need new park shoes, and I’m sad. But hey, if you find a black and white Nike sneaker in the Buzz section of the Hollywood Studios parking lot…genuinely let me know.

I have so many more adventures to talk about, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars!
