Sure, you probably know by now that being a Disney Vacation Club member has perks beyond hotel stays, like exclusive membership lounges and after-hours events inside the parks.
But, did you know these kinds of perks are merely scratching the surface of everything that your DVC membership can offer you? That’s right! There’s so many offers available to members that you’ve probably forgotten about or never realized and I’m here to help bring them all to light.
I’ve been visiting Disney World for literally decades now, and one of the best decisions I ever made for my family was opting to become a Disney Vacation Club member. With our DVC membership, we’ve agreed to essentially “prepay” for Disney World hotel stays over several years using Disney’s timeshare points program — and that has already made such a difference to us in the way we choose to vacation at Disney World.
But, aside from the actual program, there’s a LOT more to being a DVC member that comes in the form of discounts or extra perks. There are a few more popular options that seem to circulate conversation pretty frequently, but as our resident penny-pincher, I’m constantly combing through all of the discounts and hidden offers that can help my family (and you) save as much as possible on your next Disney vacation. Let’s take a closer look at a few of the most interesting ones that are hiding in plain sight!
Discounts
Eligible DVC members are able to take advantage of special discounts while visiting their favorite Disney hotels. You’ll want to ask your check-in desk or keep an eye on the membership perks website because you could be overlooking significant savings on rentals for beach chairs, bikes, umbrellas, body boards, cabanas, and other recreations. These are typically offered at hotels like Disney’s Vero Beach Resort and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa.
There’s also a HUGE savings to snag on 1-day admission tickets to Disney World’s water parks! Right now, members are offered $25 off each ticket purchased with an eligible membership —Â and that’s quite a chunk of savings in these tickets.
It may stand to reason that DVC members are afforded a few extra luxuries with discounts at Disney restaurants, but did you also know you can save on your Disney shopping without ever having to leave your home?
It’s true– at various times of the year, DisneyStore.com runs specials that could be an even BIGGER saving than their advertised offers online. All you need to do is log in with your DVC membership email at check out and check to see what special savings you’re eligible for on select items.
Special Holiday & Party Offerings
I know we’ve already explained that when tickets go on sale for special events around Disney World DVC members are eligible for special pricing when purchasing tickets, but did you realize there are also member-only events happening around these special times of the year that can make your experience even cooler?
DVC members need to be checking those membership perks and keeping a sharp eye out for the DVC membership logo — especially when visiting Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! On select dates, members with valid party admission are invited to take advantage of perks like Disney Vacation Club Very Member Merriment. This is typically an exclusive meet and greet which sometimes offers a small keepsake, just for stopping by.
If you’re a member attending Disney Jollywood Nights, look out for the Disney Vacation Club Member Treat Stop! Stopping by will allow you and up to 4 guests with you to pick up an exclusive treat only offered to members and their friends.
During the fall over the past few years, DVC has offered its members exclusive meet and greets with rare characters in costume for the Halloween season. At Disney World, this has been held at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Resort as the DVC Meet & Treat while at Disneyland, it’s called DVC Pics & Treat.
Members are also invited for holiday exclusive shows, too! Disney Vacation Club quietly announced the return of Hoop Dee Holidays offered on select nights for members and a few of their guests to enjoy a special performance of the Hoop Dee Do Musical Review with a holiday twist! Those attending are also treated to a member-exclusive pre-show and sent out with a keepsake gift.
Again, all of these events are only offered on select dates and you may be asked for your membership ID number or card along with a valid government-issued ID to participate or purchase tickets.
Food & Beverage
Exclusive Disney Vacation Club cocktails are offered only to members visiting Disneyland. The exclusive cocktails are aptly named “Welcome Home,” which can be ordered at Disneyland Hotel, and “Membership Magic Martini,” available for order at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort.
Throwing a Disney wedding can be expensive and DVC’s helping its members save! When you book your Disney Fairy Tale Wedding at Disneyland, you can unlock a member’s only pricing on standard food & non-alcoholic beverages, just ask your Disney wedding specialist at booking for details!
Who doesn’t love a FREE snack?! Being a DVC member could earn you free beach pail popcorn bucket refills when visiting Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii!
This special stop is one of my family’s favorites and nobody seems to be talking about it. Each night you could be viewing Magic Kingdom’s fireworks from the Top of the World Lounge located at the top of Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
This activity is free to do, you’ve just got to check in at the stand by the elevators to allow the Cast Member to activate the special stop to take you up. There’s also comfy patio furniture to sit on until it’s time to watch the fireworks and you can purchase a few sodas, water, beer, and alcoholic drinks while you’re visiting.
Fitness, Tours, Tickets, & Events
If you’ve read anything about staying at Disney World in 2025, you’re probably aware that on check-in day, hotel guests will each receive a one-day pass to visit the Disney World water parks. What most people don’t realize, is this benefit will also apply to DVC members staying, too!
DVC Mindful Morning Magic is another hidden gem of a perk. When visiting Disneyland Hotel, you and up to 4 of your friends can start your morning with an instructor-led yoga session. At the end of this complimentary experience, light refreshments will be offered, but you’ll want to be aware of when you plan to go in advance as it’s only offered on Fridays with some block-out dates — and advance reservations need to be made through Tenaya Stone Spa.
Disney Vacation Club’s Adventure Walk offers you the opportunity to get in an early morning stretch and walk or jog through Disney’s California Adventure before the day’s visitors are let in. This experience will cost you $30 per person with the option of bringing up to 4 guests, you must be staying at a Disneyland hotel, and reservations through Tenaya Stone Spa are required.
DVC Member Cruises are one members look forward to year after year and they book up quickly! These cruises are typically offered annually onboard one of the incredible Disney Cruise Line ships.
While onboard, members are able to get to know other members, partake in special members-only offerings like the Member’s Celebration which is kind of a “get to know you” game show, and are offered members-only goodies while sailing!
Miscellaneous Discounts
These discounts are some of the BEST you can take advantage of because they’re so random (and that’s why people forget them so easily)! Don’t forget the DVC member discount at Best Friends Pet Hotel. This could be a great option for you if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel that isn’t pet-friendly or you have reservations about leaving your fur-baby in the room all day while you go out to have fun in the parks! And, with the discount, it may be more budget-conscious to board your pet nearby rather than have them room with you while on vacation.
Splitsville Luxury Lanes offers members-only nights for bowling! These events happen on Monday nights at 6PM where adults bowl for $60 and children aged 3-9 are $45 — which includes a member-exclusive check-in (bypass general entrance queue!), an hour and a half of bowling time, shoe rental, a shared appetizer per 2 people, a select entree (or kid’s meal), a signature beverage, and a special gift.
DVC members are eligible to unlock an exclusive offer with Owner’s Locker. This service will store your personal items for you between your vacations, making it even easier to travel.
Eligible members can get this storage service free for 6 months as well as a full year of unlimited deliveries which beats the hassle of checking luggage and lugging around carry-ons for items you’ll use over and over again each visit.
There’s plenty more where these came from! With so much to see, do, and explore around Disney Destinations worldwide, it’s easy to see why there are a lot of these DVC membership perks that go overlooked.
