There’s a lot to do at the four parks, but we all have our own opinions about the vacation destination, especially those of us who have been visiting for a long time. Some visitors have more positive opinions while others are starting to question the value of a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth. We asked our readers on Facebook what their biggest hot take about Disney World is, and here’s what YOU said!

AllEars reader Kevin shared a hot take that “Disney adults are the whiniest human beings on the planet” in regard to many comments from Disney fans after the D23 announcements in August. But that’s not the only hot take that piqued our interest. Here are six more hot takes about Disney World!

It’s Not a Marathon

With four parks, two water parks, Disney Springs, and tons of hotels, there’s a lot to see, do, and experience at Disney World. Reader Paul hit the nail on the head with his hot take, “Take time to relax each day; it’s not a marathon to do it all in a day.”

There’s so much to do at Disney World that you likely won’t get to all in one trip. It’s good to remember that you are on vacation, and it’s OK to take breaks, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere around you. We love taking mid-afternoon breaks back at our hotel by the pool or taking a nap in our room. It’s a good way to not overwork yourself and just enjoy your trip.

FOOD

There were several hot takes about Disney World shared. Justin, for example, shared that “Most of the food is average at best.” Whereas, Graham said, “Counter service restaurants can be just as good, and sometimes better, than table service restaurants.”

With places like Satu’li Canteen and Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom, we agree that there are definitely counter-service restaurants that rate up there with table-service restaurants in the parks!

Weather

A hot take that took the name literally came from reader Mike, who said, “It’s hot. That’s my take.” Absolutely, Disney World can be VERY hot especially during the summer months!

If you’re heading to Disney World, it’s good to be prepared for the hot weather. Taking a baseball cap, a UV blocking umbrella, sunscreen, and other hot weather essentials are a must!

Tomorrowland

Magic Kingdom has a lot of new attractions in store for 2025! Villains Land, Cars rides, and a new nighttime parade are all headed to the park.

However, there’s one hot take from reader Sarah mentions a current land that some may think needs an glow-up. “Tomorrowland needs a major update! It’s more like ’40 years ago land,'” she stated.

Other than TRON Lightcycle / Run, Tomorrowland hasn’t gotten much in terms of new or improved attractions. Perhaps it’s time for Disney to take a look at this popular land for some revamping.

Value

Prices increase at Disney World each year making family vacation more and more expensive. Reader Sam commented that, “You don’t get the value out of a trip like you used to.”

Some things that used to be free now cost extra, food prices increase, and even hotels can put a dent in your budget. There’s no denying that the cost of your Disney World vacation has certainly gone up compared to historical costs. Luckily, Disney keeps adding new experiences that may make a trip worth it.

Disneyland vs. Disney World

Which is better — Disneyland or Disney World? Many have argued over this debate for DECADES. Reader Charles seems to be on Team Disneyland with the hot take that “Disneyland is still the best.”

Disneyland and Disney World are similar in a lot of ways, but they also differ enough that comparing them is a lot like comparing apples and oranges. But some people love Disneyland more than Disney World and vice versa.

It’s fun to visit the Disney World parks, and there’s a lot that we Disney fans love about them. Even if Disney Adults have a few gripes, we’ll still be visiting the park every day because we love them!
