Some HUGE Changes Just Hit Disney World's Grand Floridian Hotel!

A popular spot at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort just reopened with some MAJOR changes!

There have been a handful of big openings in Disney World lately, from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom to Communicore Hall and Plaza in EPCOT. But it’s not just the theme parks that are getting big refreshes! M. Mouse Mercantile just reopened at Grand Floridian Resort with some serious updates in store!

M. Mouse Mercantile is a popular gift shop located near the Monorail entrance to Grand Floridian Resort. The store closed back in May for a refurbishment, but it has now officially reopened its doors to guests!

When we stopped by, there were green, gold, and white balloons outside the entrance to celebrate the store’s new, refreshed color scheme.

And when we say new and refreshed, we mean MAJOR updates to the store’s interior! Here’s a look at what the inside of M. Mouse Mercantile looked like before the closure, for comparison…

LOTS of Refreshes to the Interior!

A few of the big changes include the new mint green, gold, and white color scheme of the store’s walls and fixtures. There’s also a different mural behind the register in place of the previous artwork.

The chandelier near the register was also replaced with an elegant design that matches the floral vibe of the wallpaper that’s placed throughout the store.

You can see some of the floral wallpaper accents on the column behind this Mickey and Minnie Statue. Speaking of florals, the statue also has lots of pretty, flowery touches!

Store Decor

Another huge change is the flooring. Prior to the refurbishment, the store had colorful carpeting. But now, it’s been replaced with more understated tiling that includes some Mickeys throughout the design.
