Forget Disney Popcorn Buckets. THIS Is the Ultimate Theme Park Souvenir

Universal just dropped a MAGICAL new souvenir.

Universal Orlando

Over the last several years, Disney popcorn buckets have become one of the most in-demand theme park souvenir categories in the world. Fans sometimes wait for hours to acquire limited and event-specific buckets, with new variants often selling for far above retail price on the secondary market. Given that success, it’s unsurprising that Universal has jumped on the trend… in its own way.

Universal recently released a brand-new Harry Potter-themed Butterbeer Cart bucket at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Hogsmeade and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Diagon Alley.

The large bucket looks like the Butterbear cart featured in the land, and retails for $44.

Taking a closer look, the bucket is heavily detailed. There are barrels, again similar to the real cart featured in the land…

… as well as lanterns, a relatively intricate paint scheme…

While these design details are very similar to Disney’s popcorn buckets, there is one MAJOR difference: Universe’s bucket doesn’t feature popcorn AT ALL. Instead, the bucket is packed with a prepackaged bag of Universal’s popular Butterbeer candy.

CANDY!

As mentioned, the buckets are currently available at the two Wizarding World locations at Universal Orlando. Perhaps if they sell successfully, they’ll also be available at the new Wizarding World installation that’s scheduled to open with Univeral’s upcoming new theme park, Epic Universe.

According to Universal, the new Potter-land will allow visitors to travel from “1920s Paris to the 1990s British Ministry, explore international wizarding communities and the magic that connects them in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.”

Epic Universe Preview Center

Anticipation for the next Wizarding World land has only grown in recent weeks, as the land is the only Epic Universe area that Universal has yet to reveal full details on, unlike Celestial Park, How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk, Dark Universe, and Super Nintendo World.

We can’t wait for this to open!
