Unfortunately, Orlando weather won’t hold off just for for spooky season.

This means that your perfect parade at Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party may be quite literally be rained on. If this happens, often times outdoor rides won’t run, the fireworks and parade shows may be canceled, and overall, your perfect night may disintegrate before your eyes. So what can you do? We have the answer!
During the first night of the Halloween party in 2022, rain severely impacted the amount of special offerings that were available. Shows were canceled and/or delayed, only one of the parades got to happen, and overall, many guests were left feeling that they didn’t get what they paid for.

If this happens to you, you can head to Guest Relations where you may (key word being MAY, it’s not guaranteed) get a “rain check” ticket. This is where you’ll get another ticket to the party, or a one-day park ticket, so Disney World can help you experience the offerings you missed out on.

In our experience, Disney was offering comped tickets for guests that could be used for park admission, or admission to either the Halloween or Christmas party at a later date on a case-by-case basis. Not everyone was eligible for this rain check ticket, but it’s always something we encourage asking about if your evening has been severely impacted due to the weather.

It’s always important to be kind, courteous, and patient with Cast Members during this process. They’ve likely been dealing with a LOT of unhappy people all evening for something they can’t fix (the idea that there’s a weather dome over the parks is 1000% a myth). If you’re told that you’re not eligible for a rain check, we understand that’s disappointing, but Cast Members are just following the rules they’ve been given.

We’re looking forward to covering the party this year and hearing more about it, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars!

I had tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in 2023. It poured so we didn’t go. I went to customer service at the park entrance the next day and they refunded my credit card.
