Disney Reveals Potential CLUE About Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Disney World

Hold up…Disney has just sent a somewhat cryptic message about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and we’ve got to unpack it with you.

Christmas Tree in Magic Kingdom

If you’re in the holiday mood, you’re in luck. We’ve already shared a look at the NEW holiday merchandise coming to the parks in 2023, plus a peek at holiday offerings coming to Disney Cruise Line and Disneyland. But Disney recently sent out a message that could really get fans excited for a special holiday experience at Disney World!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party returned to Disney World in 2022. This separately ticketed event lets with a party ticket spend a few hours in Magic Kingdom without general guests (a.k.a. exclusivity!). During the party, there are typically special holiday fireworks, a unique Christmas parade, party-exclusive entertainment, ride overlays, specialty snacks available for purchase, party-exclusive merchandise, and some hot cocoa and cookies.

The holidays are coming!

So here’s the thing — while the event took place in 2022, Disney hasn’t “officially” confirmed its return for 2023…at least not explicitly. But recently they sent out another clue that could confirm its return. In a post about the new holiday merchandise coming to the parks this year, Disney said, “If you’ve ever been to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Walt Disney World Resort (which by the way, is a holiday must-do), you might recall filling up on one of the best holiday treats: cookies!”

Calling something a “must-do” seems like an implied confirmation that it’ll be back this year, right? Well, maybe. But it gets better.

In the same post, Disney said that one tote bag they highlighted would be “perfect for holding all the items you buy during the party.” That feels like another subtle confirmation of the party’s return, right? Are we looking into things too much, friends? Are we just craving the confirmation of the special holiday offering’s return? Maybe…but it sure sounds promising!

Minnie!

This isn’t the first indication we’ve gotten about the holiday party’s return though. Back in April, we saw a MAJOR clue revealed about the event. On the Disney Auditions website, an audition notice was posted at that time for performers to join Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade! That’s the name of the parade that typically takes place during the party (and then often gets offered for regular guests at the very end of the holiday season).

Disney has also confirmed that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be returning in 2023, which could be a good sign pointing to the holiday party’s return.

For now, Disney’s web page for the Very Merry Christmas Party only notes that guests should “check back at a later date for information regarding events in 2023.”

But we’re expecting some HUGE Christmas news for Disney World could be revealed tomorrow as Disney continues to celebrate #HalfwayToTheHolidays with all kinds of festive updates. They even released an Instagram post that seems to show the Tower of Terror logo in snowflakes with a notice that it should stay under wraps until June 15th.

That’s interesting since Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes place in Magic Kingdom typically, but perhaps it is just a general indication of Christmas news to come to Disney World. We’ll soon find out!
