This Magic Kingdom Churro Cart is BACK…But It CHANGED

Things disappear — and then reappear — pretty often in Disney World.

Magic Kingdom

Sometimes we see a favorite snack go away for a while, only to make a return weeks later. Or maybe there’s a merchandise item you saw, only for it to suddenly sell out. Sometimes things also close in the parks unexpectedly, and no return date is announced. We were super surprised to walk into Magic Kingdom today and see that a certain snack stand was back open, but it’s not quite how we remember it.

The churro stand near Cinderella Castle has reopened! Well…kinda.

While this stand will still sell churros, it’s also been turned into another popcorn stand, as you can see from the bright new popcorn cart. It’s hard to tell if the new popcorn cart is there to stay or if it’s just temporary. We’ll keep our eyes out for additional changes!

The stand has reopened!

When we spoke to a cast member this morning, they said that they hoped to start selling churros within the hour. But we could see popcorn, nuts, and cotton candy were all ready to go, so those were available right when the park opened.

So why did this stand close? That’s a good question, but Disney hasn’t really given us an answer. It’s not uncommon, though, for less popular snack stands to close during slow seasons, and with summer in full swing, the start of the busy season could be the reason they chose to open this stand back up.

We’re glad it’s back!
