A Magic Kingdom Icon Has Gone MISSING and All That’s Left Is a Hazy Cosmic Trace

Oh, good old Cosmic Ray’s. You’re beloved by some, hated by others. You’re a total Tomorrowland enigma!

Welcome to Cosmic Ray’s!

During a recent trip to this kitschy dining spot, we noticed that the hired entertainment was MISSING…again.

Meet Sonny Eclipse. He’s the jazzy, joke-telling, entertainer of Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. And his feet are weirdly small. Do you think this is who David Bowie was talking about when he sang Starman?

Now that we’ve got the introductions out of the way, we can properly grieve his sudden loss. That’s right — a famous face is missing from Cosmic Ray’s! This place just isn’t the same without his music.

When we asked a Cast Member for some thorough, detailed information about this tragic disappearance, we were told, “He’s broke.” Yeah, that about sums it up!

The legend is missing!

This isn’t the first time old Sonny Eclipse has gone missing. He usually comes back eventually; you just never know when he might reappear!

This was back in February

If you need a little reminder about the legendary status of this quick-service location, let us point out that Kevin Jonas himself once stopped by for a meal. (Surely he was there to take notes on Sonny’s excellent performance skills, right?)

It’s Kevin Jonas!

UPDATE: As of June 11th, Sonny Eclipse is BACK in action! Good to see ya, old pal!

  1. I am old enough to remember the performer befire Sonny… the amazing Michael Iceberg. He put on a great show! And perhaps he is the first human to be replaced by a robot! Lol.
