Why Your Favorite NEW Snack Could Be Going Away in Disney World

Okay, we’ve got some bad news: your favorite Disney World snack could be going away soon.

Pressed Penny Silk Pie

That’s because over 100 snacks currently on the menus at Disney World dining spots were introduced for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. But the celebration will be ending on March 31st, and that means, many of these snacks may no longer be available.

We certainly have some favorites that we’re going to miss, so prepare to say goodbye to the following snacks forever.

Magic Kingdom

Wendell’s Bear Claw

You’ll find Wendell’s Bear Claw at Golden Oak Outpost for $5.99. It’s a traditional bear claw dipped in chocolate sauce and sprinkled with hazelnuts, and although that might sound basic, it is one of our favorite snacks.

Now, we have seen this one turn up at Main Street Bakery (Magic Kingdom’s Starbucks location) where it’s listed as a Chocolate-Hazelnut Bear Claw
so dare we hope this is officially a regular item there?

Snow White Cone

We often visited Storybook Treats to get a Snow White Cone, which is lemon Dole Whip in a  blue cone with a chocolate bird and sugar bow. The lemon Dole Whip is the star of this cone, and we are really hoping we can find it elsewhere.

It doesn’t HAVE to be Snow White-themed after all, does it? Fortunately, we often see lemon Dole Whip at Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort so we might have to go there to get our fix.

Pressed Penny Silk Pie

Over at Casey’s Corner, you can get the Pressed Penny Silk Pie, which is based on one of Walt Disney’s favorite desserts, the French silk pie.

It’s a simple, but chocolatey, dessert, and we’re going to miss it when it’s gone.

EPCOT

Mini Chocolate Bundt Cake

Speaking of the perfect snack for chocoholics, we fell in love with the Mini Chocolate Bundt Cake at Sunshine Seasons. It’s a Mini chocolate Bundt cake with chocolate ganache, sprinkles, and icing dusted with EARidescent shimmer and chocolate 50th anniversary garnish.

This is a delicious dessert guaranteed to satisfy those chocolate cravings. We hope it sticks around in some other form, but there are no guarantees.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie

We love blondies here at AllEars, and the Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie from Fairfax Fare and Backlot Express did NOT disappoint. It’s made with toasted coconut blondie is made with ooey gooey toffee, salted caramel buttercream, and festive gold nuggets.

This could be one of our top 50th anniversary snacks and we’ll miss that coconut-filled goodness that perfectly balances sweet and salty.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Firefly Margarita

If there’s one drink that left its impression on us, it’s the Firefly margarita, made with Casamigos Reposado Tequila, ancho reyes liqueur, lime juice, simple syrup, and pineapple juice. It’s available at Nomad Lounge, Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks, and Dawa Bar.

First, this drink has a LOVELY kick, thanks to the chili liqueur. This drink was so unique and refreshing and it is a shame that it’s going away.

Corn Chip Pie with Walt’s Chili

Okay, first, we love that Walt’s Chili made its way into SO many 50th anniversary foods. It was that chili that elevated the Corn Chip Pie with Walt’s Chili at Dino DinerIt’s corn chips covered in Walt’s favorite chili, cheddar, sour cream, and green onions. It also has jalapeños on it. YUM.

This is another contender for top 50th anniversary snack for us. It is so good!

Disney has not said for certain which, if any, of these snacks will be going away, but with the 50th Anniversary Celebration ending and the company’s 100th Anniversary Celebration starting this year, we might expect to see new snacks replacing these.

So if you happen to be in Disney World before March 31st, be sure to make a list of the 50th anniversary snacks you MUST have, just in case — it could be your last chance to eat them.
