It’s a BIG Day for Disney’s Animal Kingdom — Come Along With Us!

Happy Earth Day to all!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom goes all out for Earth Day celebrations every year because Earth Day is also the day Animal Kingdom opened its doors 25 years ago! We’re in the park today celebrating and are taking you with us.

It’s looking like a beautiful day in Animal Kingdom so far, and we’re excited for what today will bring!

To kick off today’s festivities, there’s an Opening Ceremony that gathered some pretty large crowds.

Disney invited Legacy Cast Members and Disney Ambassadors to be a part of the ceremony too!

The ceremony concluded with all of our favorite Animal Kingdom Disney characters coming out to say hello, and a musical performance.

After the ceremony, we admired the new Pumbaa Popcorn Bucket that was just released…

…and then we went to meet Moana, who is greeting guests as an in-person meet and greet in Animal Kingdom for the first time.

We also spotted some rare characters including Mira, Royal Detective! There were several other rare characters meeting visitors earlier this week.
