Even though Disney World is known for being The Most Magical Place on Earth, things can still go wrong.
That’s exactly what happened to some people who were in Magic Kingdom today. Guests who were riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover were in for a surprise when the ride malfunctioned — but that’s not where the troubles ended!
The PeopleMover was evacuated in Magic Kingdom today! We happened to catch it happening while we were walking around Tomorrowland.
We spotted Cast Members assisting guests with exiting their ride vehicle and later escorting them to safety.
In situations like this, it’s always important to remember to stay calm and wait for directions from a Cast Member. If a ride breaks down, it could start back up again soon. But, if you do need to be evacuated, Cast Members are there to help — so make sure you pay attention to what they say!
There’s no word on what went wrong with the PeopleMover or when it might be back up and running, but it’s likely this is a temporary closure.
