Tree of Life Show Gets a BIG Update in Disney World

It’s practically impossible to ignore the impact movies have had on the Disney theme parks.

From rides to entire lands, there are Disney movies everywhere. You can even see them in the nighttime shows that happen in the parks, including in Animal Kingdom. And now, the show in Animal Kingdom just got a big movie update!

There’s a NEW version of the Tree of Life Awakenings inspired by Avatar: The Way of Water in Animal Kingdom! It began on December 12th and consists of a new story sequence that illuminates the Tree of Life with the “magic of nature.”

New projections

If you don’t know, the Tree of Life Awakenings is a nighttime show in the park where the tree lights up and transforms using projections. The projections happen when it gets dark and usually take place around every 10 minutes until the park closes. There is a holiday version of the show right now, but now, this Avatar version is also available.

So pretty!

The new addition features some scenes and characters from the new Avatar movie.

We checked out the show on its opening night, and saw a ton of cool new things, like sneak peeks of the film!

It was a very colorful display and still tied in the park’s message of nature.
