Plenty of us have a tradition of going to the movies on Christmas Day. Why not cozy up at home and enjoy a new film from the comfort of your own couch?
Not only can you stay in your pajamas, but you’ll save a ton on tickets and concessions, too. Disney is now giving us the chance to enjoy a brand-new movie at home!
Just in time for Christmas, Strange World will be available to stream on Disney+ starting on December 23rd, 2022. The film debuted in theaters (and had rough box office numbers) on November 23rd, 2022 and is still in theaters — this gives families the choice to watch the film either at movie theaters or in their own homes.
If you aren’t familiar with the film, you’re in for a treat. Strange World follows a family of explorers who embark on a journey through a fantastical and treacherous new land.
You might recognize some of the cast list, which includes actors like Dennis Quad, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Gabrielle Union. Don Hall, the director of the film who has worked with Disney before on films like Big Hero 6 and Raya and The Last Dragon, stated that this movie is “inspired by classic adventure stories.” Strange World will also touch on familial relationships, and how each person relates to others in their family that spans 3 generations.
