Who else is excited about the release of Avatar: The Way of Water?
The 3+ hour film will release on December 13th in 3D. And in anticipation of the release, Disney is partnering with Avatar to use the film as an opportunity to raise money for an important cause.
Disney has launched the “Keep Our Oceans Amazing” Campaign to “raise awareness of the challenges facing oceans and marine life,” according to Disney. The campaign will support The Nature Conservancy (TNC) with its work to protect 10 ocean animals and their habitats.
Fans can help with this endeavor by creating their very own Pandora-inspired ocean creature in the Virtual Pandoran Ocean. With each creature created, Disney will donate $5 (up to $1 million) to TNC.
