How We Got In EARLY to Disney's Hollywood Studios Today

We’re wishing you a very happy Disney+ Day!

We can already tell you everything that’s coming to Disney+ in September, but that doesn’t mean Disney doesn’t still have secrets up their sleeve they’re waiting to announce. Disney+ subscribers also get special perks today in Disney World and Disneyland for the holiday — they can enter the parks 30-60 minutes early! Come along with us to check it out.

If you’re a Disney+ subscriber, you could get into any Disney World or Disneyland park 30 minutes earlier than the posted opening time this morning, and 60 minutes early if you’re staying at select Disney hotels.

There are a LOT of rides open during this extra time in the parks, like Splash Mountain, which isn’t usually open during Early Theme Park Entry! You can check out the full list right here.

Of course, we had to head into the parks to experience it for ourselves and share it with you all. We went over to Hollywood Studios where there are supposed to be a lot of celebrations, and we noticed some decorations like this photo backdrop at the entrance to the park.

It was super crowded!

A bunch of people were trying to take advantage of the early entry.

While we were waiting in line, Cast Members were checking with guests to make sure they have Disney+ linked to their accounts. You had to have this in order to get in early.

Cast Members were handing out some fun freebies once we got inside.

These were handed out to everyone who wanted them on their way in, even after the initial early entry period.

There were a bunch of decorations in the park, like stickers on the ground…

…and special banners up and down Hollywood Boulevard.

They feature a bunch of different characters!

And, we spotted some filming in the park for Good Morning America with Minnie and Mickey.

But, they weren’t too busy to say hi!

We only saw these celebrations happening over at Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom didn’t have any fun decorations, and it wasn’t very crowded when we showed up in the morning.

If you missed this early theme park entry, you can also stay at select Disney hotels and get the perk on a normal park day, while other hotels offer Extended Evening Hours.
