Rehearsals For Fantasmic! Have Begun in Disney World

Although a lot of things have returned to Disney World already, we’re still waiting on a few fan-favorite attractions to reopen. The Walt Disney World Railroad is closed, and so is the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show. But one of the most popular attractions that we’ve been waiting for is Fantasmic!

Fantasmic! has been closed in Disney World for a while now, and although it’s returned to Disneyland, there hasn’t been word on when specifically it might come back. All we’ve heard is that it will reopen sometime this year. Now, we finally have a hint that it could be back soon!

Disney shared a video about Fantasmic! on Instagram today with the caption saying “We’ve been waiting for this one … cast rehearsals have begun! 👀” Cast Members are getting ready for the show to return, and that means it’s coming back soon!

In case you’re not familiar with this show, it’s a nighttime show in Disney’s Hollywood Studios that features Sorcerer Mickey and the villainous Maleficent as a dragon. There are appearances from several other Disney villains and heroes, special water and lighting effects, and stunts.

Disney announced previously that Fantasmic! would return in 2022 with some changes to the show. They said that new effects and characters would be part of the show when it reopens. We can’t wait to check out those changes!

Although we still don’t have an official opening date yet, the announcement about Cast Member rehearsals is a big step in the right direction. We’ll keep watching for more Fantasmic! news, so stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest updates.
