CHANGES Made to The Narcoossee's Closure in Disney World

Dining in Disney World can be great in the parks — and sometimes, even better in the hotels.

If you’ve never eaten at a Disney World hotel, you’re missing out! Not only do they NOT require a park ticket, these restaurants often have some of the best food in Disney World. Recently, one hotel restaurant was scheduled for a temporary closure, but now it seems like something has changed? Let’s dig in!

Not long ago, we reported that Narcoossee’s, which is located in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, was scheduled to close for refurbishment on June 18th, 2022. There was no end date announced for this closure, so we weren’t sure when the restaurant could reopen.

However, about a month later, we noticed that reservations were still open on dates well past June 18th. For example, June 27th was still showing reservations open and we actually were able to see some availability all the way through July 4th.

As of July 5th, however, the restaurant is listed as closed on Disney’s website, and it looks like no reservations can be made that day or after.

We spoke with a Guest Services Cast Member at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa who confirmed that Narcoossee’s will remain open from 5PM to 10PM daily through July 4th, 2022, and then close for refurbishment (for an unknown period of time) beginning July 5th.

UPDATE: Disney has updated its website with a new closing date — July 14th. Reservations will be available until July 13th, and Disney says the restaurant will return next year with an enhanced experience.

Narcoossee’s typically serves high-end seafood with beautiful waterfront views, so if you’re a fan you might want to try and snag a reservation soon, unless something changes! If you miss out, don’t worry. There are plenty of other fine dining opportunities around Disney World — you might even want to splurge for the reopening of Victoria & Albert’s!
