Although even the smallest of details are planned carefully in Disney World, things can still go wrong sometimes. We’ve seen plenty of ride evacuations in our time, and we advise all guests to plan for potential emergencies ahead of their trips into the parks.
Some of those emergencies might be a dire need for a snack or a blister after a long day of walking. But we’ve also seen a couple of more serious events, such as a small fire near Cinderella Castle back in 2021 (thankfully, no one reported injuries at that time). Now, it appears that part of EPCOT recently experienced a serious emergency situation as well.
Apparently, some fireworks debris fell onto a loading dock for the Friendship boats in EPCOT during the nighttime show “Harmonious” on Monday night (April 11th) this week. Part of the dock appears to have caught fire as a result, and you can see the fire and smoke in this video from one of our readers.

If you ever find yourself in Disney World during an emergency situation, be sure to follow instructions from nearby Cast Members, who are well-trained in what to do during such potential events.
Harmonious takes place out on the World Showcase Lagoon, with the fireworks released from large barges in the middle of the water. The show — which was introduced as part of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations — also includes music and projections on the water.
