Amid some upcoming ride openings, one Disney World attraction is closing its doors forever.

EPCOT is going through a BIG transformation, with one new ride already open and another major roller coaster opening this summer. We also can’t wait to check out the upcoming Moana: Journey of Water attraction, which does not have an opening date yet. But today we learned that one attraction will not be part of the future of EPCOT.
The EPCOT Experience debuted in EPCOT in 2019 as an “immersive look at the past, present, and future” of the park (Zach Riddley). Imagineer Zach Riddley announced today that this exhibit will be closing permanently on March 14th.

Over 2 million guests have visited the EPCOT Experience, which is home to a 360-degree presentation that showed some of the work being done in this park and attractions that are currently being built.

Riddley reported that the closure will “make way for exciting new activations of the Odyssey pavilion to create a great experience for our guests.” So it sounds like we can expect to see a new experience arrive at this pavilion sometime in the future!

There is a LOT going on in EPCOT right now with the major transformation and some new rides ahead, so stay tuned with AllEars for all the latest updates.

That cafe is where the 50th Anniversary Earridescent Cronut is sold. I hope the cronut is still available somewhere in EPCOT. It was delicious!
Wow, too bad! I just visited that attraction for the first time a few weeks ago, in February ’22, and thought it was fun, visually exciting and well done. Glad we had that chance. Is the model going to be on display elsewhere?
