VIDEO: A Day in the Life of a Disney World Trolley Horse

If you’ve ever taken a stroll right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom, you may have seen trolleys drawn by horses heading up and down the street, but did you ever wonder how these horses were cared for and how they made it to Main Street every day to delight guests?

In a new Instagram reel, Dr. Mark Penning, Vice President: Animals, Science and Environment, gives guests a peek at the day in the life of Titan, a horse that pulls the trolley in Magic Kingdom!

Titan begins his day at Tri-Circle-D Ranch where all of the horses are kept. He starts with breakfast and a bath and is then brushed and his hair is braided.

Then he’s off to the Magic Kingdom, just a short ride from Tri-Circle-D Ranch. There, Titan is outfitted in the custom halter made specifically for the Walt Disney World horses. Once he’s all dressed up, he heads out onto Main Street with the trolley in tow.

Titus is just one of many horses who live at Tri-Circle-D Ranch located at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds.  The ranch houses the horses guests can see in the parks and offers horseback riding along with carriage and sleigh rides.
