PHOTOS: One Disney World Skyliner Route is Now Temporarily Closed

One of the biggest perks of staying on Disney World property is its vast transportation system that includes the Monorail, buses, and the Skyliner.

One Skyliner route is now closed

However, one of those transportation options is now a little more limited — one Skyliner route has closed for a short refurbishment.

We became aware of this refurbishment early last year, so it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise, but if you’re headed to Disney World soon, we wanted to make sure you are aware of it. The route affected is the EPCOT route, which will directly affect transportation to and from Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Riviera Resort and EPCOT.

The Skyliner gondolas have been stopped at the EPCOT station.

However, this will also impact guests wishing to travel from Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to EPCOT — Skyliner transportation to those resorts requires a connection to get to EPCOT.

Disney Skyliner Closure

Disney will continue to provide complimentary bus and Friendship Boat transportation to guests affected by this closure, which is scheduled to last through January 28th.

In the meantime, we’ll keep you updated on ALL closures at Disney World, so be sure to check back with us often.
