There is SO much going on at Disney World right now, but we’re sharing EVERYTHING with you, whether it be about the 50th Anniversary Celebration or something else.

This morning, we got many more details about Galactic Starcruiser, aka the Star Wars Hotel. So here is the new information Disney World just released.
First, we got an official opening date for the hotel: March 1st, 2022. But Disney also released loads of new details about what guests can expect on their cruise through a galaxy far, far away. The hotel will fully immerse guests in the Star Wars universe, and allow them to become part of that universe through storylines that will take place during the 2-day “voyage.”

We’ve already seen what a sample itinerary looks like on this cruise, and we know that guests will be encouraged to dress up in costumes (although costumes are not required). The adventure begins in the launch pod, which will carry guests from Earth to the Halcyon Starcruiser — there will be windows where guests will see the starcruiser as they approach it in the launch pod.

Guests can then partake in activities, such as taking lessons on how to play Sabaac, bridge training, lightsaber training, droid racing, and more. They’ll also have access to the dining room, where they can indulge in food that’s out of this world.

But one thing guests will have to keep in mind — things will not go according to plan and there will be multiple story moments where guests have to make certain choices — those choices will play out and determine how their time on the Starcruiser plays out. Guests will also be given missions that play into the story.

However, guests will be given the option to “take a step back” and not participate if they don’t want to. If you prefer to just watch and see what happens without getting in on the action, that’s an available option, too. But just know that both Kylo Ren and Rey will be part of the story, as well as a “Wookie friend or so.”

Perhaps the most exciting thing Disney revealed about the hotel, though, concerns the Bridge — Disney Imagineer Ann Morrow Johnson provided a first look at the Halcyon’s Bridge in a roundtable discussion with other Imagineers detailing out everything guests can expect from the Galactic Starcruiser.
During Bridge Training, guests will be put in control, and the knowledge and experience gained there could be put to the test. So it seems like guests will have a chance to pilot and navigate the Starcruiser during its voyage.

Guests can begin booking their stay on the Galactic Starcruiser as of October 28th, and if we get any more details, we’ll be sure to let you know.
