How the Virtual Queue Will Work for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is opening in EPCOT on October 1st as part of the 50th Anniversary Celebrations.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

We heard earlier this week that the ride will use a virtual queue, like the one used for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney shared with Cast Members how this system is going to work for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure when it opens in October.

The virtual queue for Remy’s ride sounds very similar to the one used for Rise of the Resistance.

Rise of the Resistance

To start, guests will need to have a ticket and theme park reservation for EPCOT the day that they want to ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Both of these (the ticket and reservation) need to be linked to your Disney account.

EPCOT

If you’ve linked the ticket and reservation, you can access the virtual queue on the My Disney Experience app starting at 7AM on the day of your visit. So you’ll need to have plans to be in EPCOT first — not to park-hop there later — if you want to access the virtual queue at 7AM.

At that time, you’ll be able to see if there are any boarding groups available and make your reservation. You CAN do this before you arrive at EPCOT — you do not have to be inside the park to make a reservation.

If you don’t get a boarding pass at that time, you can check again on the same day at 1PM for available boarding groups once you’ve entered the park. Again, you have to have entered the park to access the virtual queue at 1PM. That means you probably won’t be able to ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure if you’re just park hopping there in the afternoon, because park hopper currently doesn’t begin until 2PM.

This sounds very similar to the Rise of the Resistance virtual queue system, so plan on using the same strategies (like being ready right on time and having your ticket linked to your account) to be successful in getting your Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure passes! And keep following AllEars, because we’ll let you know about any further developments with the new ride.

  1. I rode this in Disneyland Paris. Numerous times. Walk on walk off so if you think I am going to pay for the privilege of riding it again or join a virtual queue in the Hope’s of getting a spot you are mistaken. It is a great ride dont get me wrong. My little grand daughter loved it. Is it worth paying extra for? No. Is it worth getting up at stupidno’clock to try and get in the virtual line? No. Like any other ride just wait a few years til the next one comes along and the queues will get shorter.

  2. Great another way to keep families from enjoying the Ratoiulle Ride 🙄 Rise of the Resistance virtual line is ALWAYS hard to get a time for !

  3. Based on the last week or so, you would think that Disney was making way too much money and were trying to discourage people from coming to cut down on the crowds….not just getting back on their feet from almost a year of record losses. Just another nail in the coffin of our DVC membership.

  4. Is Disney going this route to discourage park hopping? Are they thinking that we will plan 4 individual park days, more resort nights, more food / beverage consumption this way? It must be about increasing revenue because it does not improve customer enjoyment.

    1. I was so looking forward to going on this ride. I have been to Disney 3 times since star Wars opened and haven’t made it into Rise of the Resistance yet, so I don’t hold out much hope for this ride either. To quote Rocket Racoon, “You suck the joy out of everything.” A vacation to Disney has become a grueling experience in park reservations virtual ques, and apps that aren’t particularly user friendly. Our trip in Dec. will be our last one. We figured it out and the total cost of the vacation divided by the number of hours we spend in the park is about $104 an hour per person, without Genie+. No longer worth it

  5. This stinks PERIOD! WDW is not a family spot any longer, just money grab, not different than any other parks.

  6. What are they doing on the nights deluxe hotel guests get the extra two hours at night? Will it be open ? Will there be a special virtual queue? Will it be stand by? So many questions……

  7. so basically you wont get to ride the ride disney has gone over board with the over scheduling of things you on vacation to be free to sleep in but now you cant because u have to be up at 7am to schedule your rides for the day that you have spent hundreds of dollars on just for park passes for your kid to ride a ride disney needs to take 10 steps back and go back to how it used to be it worked well people had fun and made memories of a lifetime sadly it is not this way anymore o

    1. This sucks! I’m very disappointed! So we can’t even park hoot to try and get on this ride? This is why I got a park hopper to give myself more chances to get on the ride. What a bunch of bs! This is why we were coming from California to rude that particular ride! What a bunch of bs. Why can’t they just let us stand in line? What about disable people? What a disappointment. Park hoping doesn’t even help! This is why o got park hopping! I’m pretty ticked about this! Disney is becoming more and more difficult to have fun. I’m sure all AP holders that live there will probably clog it up too! This is very unfair.

      1. I suspect boarding groups for this ride won’t last long. It’s not the mind blowing ride that RotR is.

I do believe that this is how all new Disney E-ticket rides will be introduced, though. So prepare to need boarding groups for the Tron and Guardians of the Galaxy coasters when they open at Disneyworld and the Quinjet ride at Disneyland (IF that even gets built).

      2. Don’t blame it on AP holders ! We are not clogging anything up! Disney World and it’s policies and choices is who you should be upset with !
