Do YOU Know All of These Larger-Than-Life Characters in Disney World?

There are some Disney characters that get more attention than others.

Of course, we know Mickey and the gang, Disney Princesses, and many other familiar, friendly faces that we often see throughout the parks. But, there are some other Disney characters you can find in one part of Magic Kingdom that you may not be familiar with!

When you visit Storybook Circus in Magic Kingdom, chances are, you’re there to take a ride on Dumbo the Flying Elephant and not much more. But, if you look a little closer, you’ll find some characters in that area that you might have to rack your brain to remember!

There are plenty of immersive details throughout Storybook Circus, and lots of them are shoutouts to some pretty obscure characters! All of the themed decor throughout the land contributes to the whimsical, larger-than-life feel.

Alright, first we’ll start with something easy. You probably know this big, burly character, and if you don’t — spoiler alert — he’s not a very nice guy. It’s Pete! He’s often portrayed as Mickey’s nemesis, and here, he’s a strongman.

What about this guy? It’s Horace Horsecollar! Horace is a goofy friend of Mickey Mouse and in Storybook Circus, he’s made of…elastic? You’ll have to check that one out for yourself.

Does this bear look familiar to you? Humphrey the Bear is another throwback character that was created in 1950. He’s a foolish bear, always on the lookout for food! He’s juggling a lot here (literally), look at the pineapple, bowling pin, and even a goldfish! Impressive.

The next character here has a pretty noteworthy singing voice. It’s Clara Cluck! Apart from these posters here, you can also count on spotting her during the Boo-to-You parade at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party when it’s taking place. She’s quite the diva.

At first glance, a huge lion like this one might seem like a huge threat! But, Lambert the Lion here is nothing to be worried about. Sure, he’s described as a “man-eater,” but look at that sheepish face! He was raised by sheep, after all.

If you’ve seen Disney’s Fantasia, you know the stars of the poster here. It’s Hyacinth Hippo and Ben Ali Gator! She is beauty and grace here at the big top.
