Disney Surveys Guests On Impact of Crowds, Suspended Experiences, and More!

Disney World has continued to adapt its park operations and environment to abide by both health and safety regulations and guest experiences.

As Disney moves forward with upcoming changes, it values the thoughts and opinions of the people who are visiting the parks. Although we’ve participated in surveys about safety procedures and discontinued experiences previously, we received another updated survey during our last trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Since there are multiple guests with varying feelings returning to the parks, Disney thought it was important to know their opinions about when they were ready to visit.

Now that park hopping is back in place, Disney was curious about how many people were taking advantage of the returning feature…

…as well as how the new health and safety protocols impacted their visits around Disney World.

As Disney continues to promote distancing measures, restaurants have been using various online wait list, check-in, and ordering features to keep things running smoothly. On top of the dining options in Disney World…

…Disney wanted to know what impact other virtual tools and apps like the Play Disney Parks and My Disney Experience features had on guests’ trips.

Entertainment and experiences have received numerous modifications as Disney World has welcomed guests back to the parks. Some options like nighttime spectaculars and FastPasses are currently suspended…

…while others have been adapted, including character cavalcades and ride queues.

Now that Disney has increased its park capacity and crowds vary throughout the week, guests were asked how the congestion in Disney World affected their visit…

©Disney

…and what time of the day they saw the most crowds in the parks.

Due to the crowds, guests were also asked how the wait times and lines for attractions were different from what they expected…

©Disney

…and if these crowds impacted their ability to do everything they would have liked to during their trip.

Since Disney works hard to ensure a magical time for guests, they wanted to know what parts of their trip were impacted so they could work on fixing it for future visits.

We’ll be sure to be on the lookout for additional guest surveys soon and share everything we find with you! Stay tuned with AllEars for more Disney news!

  1. I kinda have to agree with both the below comments. We have been to WDW twice in the last six months. We only did this because the crowd levels were lower and we were able to do everything we wanted to do there. We had stopped coming because the crowds were so bad and we hated the fast pass system as they had it set up most recently. The time we did come with the latest fast pass system, we ended up scrapping it and just resigning ourselves to waiting in line. The trip was so stressful that we said we didn’t want to come anymore – until now. The low crowds were great, and the waits for attractions pretty reasonable. Way less stress.

  2. While Disney is losing a fortune every day, there’s no way the crowds will stay like they are. However that’s nothing to being unable to even get in the country. We’ve cancelled our annual passes, sold our home there and cancelled 3 fortnight trips to Disney and probably won’t be going again until it’s like it used to be with fireworks, all entertainment has returned, etc. Disney won’t be surveying the people who aren’t going, so they’re not going to find out very much and it’ll be like all the other surveys in which I’ve participated – pointless and not likely to result in anything! In the meantime, they create the illusion that customers’ opinions matter and that they’re not just interested in our money.
And when I do go again (can’t see that in the next two years unless the world moves into Covid 23 or similar) it’s going to cost an absolute fortune.
ps If you’re listening Disney, please don’t hesitate to send me a survey to find out why I’ve lost my huge enthusiasm and love for WDW 🙁

  3. Our Florida family of 7, ages 1 – 62, spent 2 days at WDW for the first time since we gave up our passes due to the large, packed crowds at the Valentine Party 3 years ago. At that time, so many people was suffocating and terrible. We never went back. So with the restrictions and crowd limits, it was so relaxing and felt safe with our 4 young children and older grandmother. We still had to wait in line, but it was reasonable and manageable. We had the most fun we could possibly have! If Disney stayed this way, we would purchase season tickets once again!
