There Are Two New Experiences Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

What would Disney characters be if it wasn’t for their animal best friend?!

In Disney’s upcoming animated movie, Raya and the Last Dragon, Raya sets on a mission to find the last dragon and restore peace between lands. But, she can’t do it on her own — she stumbles upon quite a few characters who join her on the adventure. And, now Disney is bringing those characters to life at Walt Disney World!

Over at The Animation Experience at Conservation Station in Animal Kingdom, Raya’s animal friends are joining the interactive attraction! Beginning February 22nd, Disney animators will teach you how to draw characters from the new animated Disney movie like Raya’s adorable companion, Tuk Tuk!

Tuk Tuk is part pill bug, part pug, and part high-speed off-road vehicle — quite the versatile sidekick! Plus, when you learn how to draw him, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the inspiration for the little buy from Kelly Marie Tran (the voice of Raya) and Awkwafina (the voice of Sisu, the last dragon).

If you want to experience even more from Raya and the Last Dragon, you can watch artists work on a 40-ton sand sculpture of Raya, Tuk Tuk, Sisu, and the Ongi over at the Discovery Island Stage in Animal Kingdom!

Raya and the Last Dragon will release on Disney+ with Premiere Access and in theaters on March 5th, 2021. If you’re planning to watch on Disney+, you can pre-order the movie now so all you’ll need to do is hit play! Meanwhile, watch the trailer for the new movie and get a peek into Tuk Tuk and Raya’s adventure!
