The BEST Pools at Walt Disney World

A vacation at Walt Disney World is so much more than just the four theme parks! Depending on where you’re staying, you could have some incredible resort amenities to take advantage of, too!

Uzima Springs Pool at Animal Kingdom Lodge

While each Disney World Resort hotel has at least one pool on property, they aren’t all created equal. We reached out to our readers to let us know what their favorite Disney World pool is, and we got a large variety of responses!

Here are the Disney World pools YOU chose as your favorites!

Stormalong Bay – Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts

Let’s kick things off with the number one response we got from our readers. The undisputed champion of Disney World pools, according to you, is Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. At three acres, this pool complex certainly has a lot going for it! It has a sand-bottom floor, a lazy river, three whirlpool spas, and a 230-foot long water slide — one of the tallest on Disney World property. You can definitely spend an entire day (or more) here!

Copper Creek Springs Pool – Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Not to be outdone, another pool we heard frequently from our readers as their favorite was the Copper Creek Springs Pool at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. This heated pool is surrounded by the picturesque resort grounds and includes both hot and cold whirlpool spas as well as a waterslide built into the rock formations.

Lava Pool – Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Another Magic Kingdom-area resort that received high praise from our readers is the Lava Pool at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! The recently-renovated pool has a 142-foot long water slide, a zero-depth entry, and of course its iconic towering volcano.

Lost City of Cibola Pool – Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Also known as the “Dig Site Pool,” the main pool at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has perhaps the most recognizable landmarks across all of Disney World’s pools: a 50-foot pyramid. This is another pool on property with a longer waterslide, as well as the largest hot tub on property…big enough to fit yourself and 21 of your friends!

Big Blue Pool – Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Disney World’s value resorts also have some pretty fun pools! Case in point: the Big Blue Pool at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. If you want some elbow room while you go swimming, look no further; at over 300,000 gallons, this is the largest pool on Disney World property!

Fuentes del Morro Pool – Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has a lot going for it. One of Disney’s moderate resorts, it’s conveniently situated along the Skyliner route, giving guests ease of access to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. On top of that, it has one of the neatest pools on property! The Fuentes del Morro Pool has not one but two waterslides, man-of-war-cannons, a shipwreck play area, and a 12-person spa.

Uzima Springs Pool – Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is split into to sections: Kidani Village (the Disney Vacation Club portion of the resort) and Jambo House. Each of these two locations has its own pool, and the pool over at Jambo House is known as Uzima Springs Pool. Here, you’ll encounter an oasis that looks out over the resort’s savanna, a zero-depth entry point, and a 67-foot-long water slide.

Doubloon Lagoon Pool – Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter

Another moderate resort with a highly rated pool is Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter. Here, you’ll find the fun Doubloon Lagoon, with its popular sea serpent slide, alligator statues, a whirlpool, and a water play area.

Other Honorable Mentions

While there were some clear top choices from our readers, there were a number of other resorts that got shout-outs that we want to highlight! Other resorts with pools that our readers enjoyed included Disney’s Old Key West Resort and its Sandcastle Pool, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort and its Surfing Pool, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside and its Ol’ Man Island Pool, and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and its main High Rock Spring Pool as well as its quiet pools.

And finally, we had to share a couple of parting words from our readers when it comes to Disney pools. While some pools have long water slides and others have sand-bottom floors or whirlpools, there are a few universal truths we can all agree on. As one reader put it, the best Disney pool is “an empty one with a bar.” We’re right there with ya, friend!
