NEWS! This Could Be a Sign That Hong Kong Disneyland Will Be Reopening Soon!

Starting with Shanghai in Disneyland in May, most of the global Disney Parks have reopened over the past few months.

However, there are some exceptions. Disneyland has not yet revealed a reopening date, and Hong Kong Disneyland has not provided a  second reopening date, after the parks closed after their first reopening.

However, Variety is reporting that Hong Kong Disneyland could be doing its second grand reopening on September 18th! After the parks opened back in June, they closed again on July 15th as a health and safety measure with increased cases in Hong Kong.

The government has started to reduce some of its distancing restrictions as the numbers have gotten increasingly better in the territory. Representatives from Hong Kong’s government have stated that “Unless the epidemic situation takes a sudden downturn, the Government expects to issue new directions in the next phase to re-open catering and scheduled premises (including theme parks, exhibition venues, swimming pools, bathhouses, party rooms, bars and pubs, karaoke establishments, clubs or nightclubs, etc.) which we have not been able to re-open due to the higher infection risk.”

Along with the theme parks reopening, Hong Kong will be ending a ban of public groups of more than two people by increasing it to four instead. There will also be four people allowed at a table in restaurants, as well as the reopening of sports premises and entertainment venues.
