The Disney Cruise Line hosts special Halloween Cruises each fall. The highlight of these cruises is the telling of the Legend of the Pumpkin Tree.

The teller looks like the caretaker of the Haunted Mansion‘s graveyard and does a spooky job in the telling. As the tale comes to an end, the guests are urged to encourage the Pumpkin Tree to come to life through special effects and lights. The tree then stays lit for the rest of the cruise while other Halloween events are held under its lighted pumpkins.
