California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Gets Ready for a New Look
Disney’s California Grill will be closing for an extensive renovation beginning January 6, 2013. The restaurant is slated to reopen late summer.
Sporting a new look when it reopens, Chef Brian Piasecki is very excited about the “enhancements to the interactive kitchen – we’ll be able to give a fresh spin to California Grill classics, and add some cutting-edge new selections to the menu.”
There will be changes to the menu but Chef Brian explains “we’ll still focus on a fresh, seasonal menu with top-of-the-line sushi. You can still look for creative flavors and techniques, and sophisticated cuisine.”
California Grill’s two private dining rooms are expected to remain.
The Cast Members in the kitchen as well as the dining room all plan to return.
California Grill sits high atop the Contemporary Resort offering spectacular views of not only the Magic Kingdom, but Epcot and the surrounding areas as well. It is one of the most popular spots for dinner and viewing the Magic Kingdom fireworks!
